BARGARH: Koshal Times of Bargarh observed the 39th Birth Anniversary of the first Chief Minister of Odisha Nabakrushna Chaudhury, Felicitated people of excellence of 10 Coastal Districts.
Koshal Times, a fortnightly news paper of Bargarh District has celebrated the 39th Birth Anniversary of the first Chief Minister of Odisha Nabakrushna Chaudhury in a grand and majestic way.
On this occasion people of extraordinary talent who have achieved excellence in spite of their hindrances are felicitated. Poor but Scholastic students, physically challenged people, family of freedom fighters, centurion freedom fighters are felicitated in the presence of the dignitaries.
Koshal Times of Bargarh with great efforts have been felicitating such people of Western Odisha but for the first time it has endeavoured to felicitate the such people from the Coastal Districts. This is how we are trying to bridge the relationship between the Western and Eastern Odisha.
Many dignitaries like Labour and Employment Minister Sj. Sarada Prasad Nayak, MLA of Kendrapara,Sj. Sashi Bhushan Behera, most esteemed Police Commissioner Sj. Somendra Priyadarshi, Mayor of Bhubaneswar Smt.Sulochana Das , popular singer and Sangita Guru padmashree Shyamani Devi, Editor of the popular magazine” Kadambini” and writer of many scholarly articles on Nabakrushna Chaudhury graced the occasion as Guests at Buddha Mandir, Bhubaneswar .
Dr. Subhransu Pattanaik who has done PhD on this great man Nabakrushna Chaudhury was the Chief Speaker on this occasion.
The guests on the occasion praised the great efforts of Sanjib Kumar Mahapatra, the editor of Koshal Times of Bargarh of organising the program by coming from such a long distance. Honourable Minister Sj. Nayak said that Sanjib Kumar Mahapatra will be specially invited on the occasion of the inauguration of the statue of Nabakrushna Chaudhury at Rourkela. Honourable MLA Sj. Sashibhusan Behera had also attended the program in the previous year, he also extended hearty thanks to the Editor of Koshal Times.
The editor of Kadambini Dr. Iti Samanta also praised the students with the reminisces of the difficulties of her childhood days. Mayor Smt. Sulochana Das expressed that Nabakrushna Chaudhury was a great and rare human being, such human beings are born once in an era. His selfless service, abolition of Jamindari System and many such welfare has kept him alive in the heart of 4 crores of Odisha. Padmashree Shyamani Devi also started with Jagannath Bhajan and spoke in praise of Nabakrushna Chaudhury.
People of 10 coastal districts namely Cuttack Jagatsinghpur Kendrapara Bhadrakh Khorda Ganjam Maurbhanj Jajpur were felicitated. On this occasion 13 scholars under severe poverty, physically challenged people along with Sj. Dwijabara Sathua , centurion freedom fighter, Indramani Khatua and many others were felicitated. The program was coordinated by Payal Nayak , Arpita Behera introduced the guests and Retired teacher Sj. Baisnav Bhoi extended the vote of thanks.The students of Petals Public school performed Sambalpuri Dance.The program was a grand success in a grand occasion.
