BHUBANESWAR: “That indeed is thrilling news. I am truly delighted that the Guinness Book of Records had recognised the Birsa Munda Stadium in Rourkela to be the biggest hockey stadium in the world. I congratulate the people of Odisha and the team that made this possible,” the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said when 5T Secretary VK Pandian, informed him at Naveen Niwas.
“Sir a very happy and good news for Odisha, we got official communication from Guinness Book of Records regarding its recognition for Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela,” 5T Secretray Pandian had said while CM Replied with a positive note.
“I am amazed that it has been built in 15 months. It’s truly a great accomplishment for the people of Odisha,” he added.
The Guinness World Records has certified the newly-constructed Birsa Munda Stadium in Odisha’s Rourkela as the largest fully-seated hockey stadium of the world.
VK Pandian, 5T Secretary, took to Instagram to share the news and also posted a video of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s reaction to the feat.
