BHUBANESWAR:A panel of five Jury members in a meeting held unanimously decided the recipient of 8th Shambhavi Puraskar. Khirod Sahoo belonging to Talcher, District Angul is the winner of Shambhavi Puraskar 2021. Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation (CSR wing of IMFA Group) instituted the annual Shambhavi Puraskar in the year 2014, to recognise emerging social catalysts and thereby inspire more citizens to act as agents of change.
Khirod Sahoo is recognised for his commendable social service in the field of Education & Advocacy. Popularly recognised for his full white dress code & motor bike, he has won hearts in the locality by being readily available and at service in need of the hour.
The Shambhavi Puraskar Committee also announced Jury Commendation 2021 for Nivedita Lenka of Bhubaneswar, District Khorda. Popularly known as “Yashoda Maa” she has dedicated 15 years of her life for underprivileged children by helping them gain insight in life for higher education & livelihood. The Shambhavi Puraskar carries a citation and cash award of Rs. 2,50,000/- and the Jury Commendation carries a citation and cash award of Rs. 50,000/-. The recipients will be felicitated in an award ceremony to be held in the month of March 2021.
Shambhavi Puraskar: This is the 8th Edition of “Shambhavi Puraskar”. Its an initiative by BIPF to give due recognition to those who act as the agents of social change and motivate others to follow in their footsteps. The Shambhavi Puraskar carries a citation and cash award of Rs. 2,50,000/-
In addition to the main award, “Shambhavi Jury Commendation Certificate” is given to an individual to recognise his/her wholehearted desire in serving humanity. This carries a citation and cash award of Rs. 50,000/-
