- Wazid (32), S/o Nur Hassan, of village Kailashpur, P.S.–Gaguledi, Dist.–Saharanpur, State–Uttar Pradesh.
Article Seized:
- One container truck.
Based on the written report of the complainant, Mr. Bhupesh Kumar Nayak (49), a case was registered at Khandagiri Police Station and an investigation was initiated.
It is pertinent to mention that on 27.12.2025, the complainant had received reliable information about a container truck transporting cattle from Andhra Pradesh to Kolkata for slaughter. On the basis of the said information, the complainant tried to identify the vehicle along with the members of Odisha Goputra Organization. While stopping the vehicle, the driver of the container truck tried to hit the complainant at high speed with the intention of killing him and the driver along with his two assistants also tried to attack him with an iron rod. A complaint was immediately filed at Khandagiri Police Station regarding this incident.
On receiving information, the police personnel of the police station managed to stop the container truck in front of the Vaijee Hotel in Patrapada area at around 12.00 noon. The driver tried to flee from the spot, but the police arrested the driver and his two assistants. After checking , 30 cows were found inside the container truck.
During investigation, the container truck was seized and the recovered cattle were kept safely at “Aam Goshala” located at Chotoraiyapur under Khandagiri police station. During interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in jointly transporting cattle for illegal gain without any valid documents.
As the primary evidence has been firmly established, after completing all legal formalities, the accused were arrested today, 27.12.2025 at around 6:00 PM and produced in court. Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
