BHUBANESWAR: The State Cabinet held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has approved several proposals.
Approval of the State Cooperation Policy 2026. It aims to strengthen PACS, LAMPCS, Cooperative Banks, Cooperative Marketing and Processing Societies, Dairy, Tribal, Handloom, Fisheries and Housing Cooperatives to enhance service delivery and last-mile impact.
Approval for setting up an Automobile, Aerospace and Defence Equipment Manufacturing Complex at Gajamara, Dhenkanal. Investment of ₹17,250 crore with employment potential for 20,000 persons.
Approval of the State Council on Science & Technology to promote science among students and technology awareness among the public. Budget allocation of ₹254.85 crore for the period FY 2025–26 to FY 2029–30.
Framing of the Odisha Uniformed Services Staff Selection Commission (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service of the Chairman and Members) Rules, 2026.
State Government to provide financial support for flight operations from Bhubaneswar to Dubai and Singapore.
Upgradation of minor irrigation projects with diversion weirs to strengthen irrigation infrastructure.
