BHUBANESWAR/CUTTACK: Odia film industry actress Varsha Priyadarshini and 2 of her elder sisters like Bananee Sahu and Debjani Sahu Gouda will likely to face tough time after actress’s husband and ruling BJD Lok Sabha MP from Kendrapara, wrote to State DGP Abhay seeking a probe into an audio clip of telephonic conversation between 3 Sisters that has gone viral on social media.
In his letter to DGP Abhay, MP Mohanty wrote “The audio clip seems to be a telephonic conversation amongst my wife Varsha Priyadarshini, Bananee Sahu (Varsha’s eldest sister), Debjani Sahu Gouda (Varsha’s elder sister) and me. The telephonic conversation is extremely abusive and hateful. What’s worrying is that the audio clip sounds as if a very deadly and criminal conspiracy is being planned against me & my family by Varsha Priyadarshini & her family. The same telephonic conversation also gives a hint that Bananee Sahu alias Dalai is torturing, abusing & threatening her in-laws in the same way or may be more. I somehow assume that her in-laws must be suffering a lot & mustn’t be safe because of her,”.
It is to bring to your notice that an audio clip has gone viral on social media as well as in other media platforms since last month or two which is very disturbing and alarming. Me, my wife, our families and crores of our well-wishers from all over world are extremely worried & confused after listening to that clip,” wrote MP Mohanty.
“I was blessed to be the Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) in 2019 from the Biju Janata Dal representing Kendrapara by defeating the National Vice-President of a National Political party by lakhs of votes. Hence, I also fear that he may also be involved in this deadly conspiracy & financially supporting the conspirators to defame/ruin me,” he added.“I have full faith on Odisha Police and its investigating capabilities under your dynamic administration. I sincerely request you to look into this matter with much care and help the innocents by unmasking the conspirators along with their supporters,” MP Mohanty added.
Varsha Priyadarshini, had filed a complaint with the Purighat police in Cuttack alleging that MP Mohanty locked her room on Friday night for which she had to stay outdoor for around an hour. Varsha has lodged the complaint against Anubhav and two of his associates. Police had later reached the residence of the Kendrapara MP to look into the issue.
Earlier , few days back, MP Mohanty had refused to join a mediation process offered to him by a court here to resume the marital relationship with his estranged actress-wife Varsha Priyadarshini.Instead, the BJD MP Mohanty had said he has confidence on the judiciary and his divorce suit is now pending in a New Delhi court. Mohanty had appeared before the SDJM Court, which has taken cognisance of a domestic violence suit filed by Varsha.
Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court in Cuttack had served a notice to MP Mohanty for his reply in connection with the domestic violence case. Varsha had filed a case under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act at the SDJM Court in Cuttack on August 7 accusing husband Anubhav of physical and mental torture. A month before the case, he had filed a petition in the Patiala House Court seeking divorce from her on July 6, 2020. The marital discord between Ollywood’s power couple came to fore later in September.
The court in Delhi issued a notice to Varsha asking her to depose before it on December 10 in connection with the divorce case. However, the Supreme Court of India on October 16 stayed the divorce petition after Varsha moved to the apex court seeking transfer of the case from Delhi to the Family Court in Cuttack. The court asked the counsels of both the parties to sort out the matter through discussion.
