NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: While demanding skill development training for India’s Armed Forces for their post retirement life, ruling BJD Lok Sabha MP from Odisha’s costal pockets of Kendrapara, Anubhav Mohanty, who is also a leading Odia Film Actor, has demanded to implement National Commission for Ex-Servicemen Bill-2015 , which is pending for approval.Raising the issue in Lok Sabha, MP Mohanty argued that many retired armed forces personnel could be used for civil jobs if they were provided skill development trainings and tips.
“Everybody talks about Indian Armed Forces but nobody think about their post retirement life,” the BJD MP said adding that a special budgetary allocation should be made in Union Budget for skill development training to retired armed forces. MP Mohanty also demanded that, a National level database should be made on retired armed forces those are in civil jobs after retirement.
“Reminded the BJP led Government about their 2019 Election Manifesto regarding the resettlement of our Armed Forces in Skill Development and transition to civil jobs post-retirement. Urged them to form a Central Level Authority for the Veterans to look after it,” tweeted the BJD MP@AnubhavMohanty.
Earlier, in Lok Sabha MP @AnubhavMohanty_ stated that the interests of Small & Marginal farmers are ignored in the Bill. “APMCs may fade away. APMCs fulfil some important functions for small & marginal farmers”, said the BJD MP.
