BHUBANESWAR/KENDRAPARA: Kendrapara BJD Lok Sabha MP Anubhav Mohanty, has condole the death of Ollywood Editor Deben Mishra who passed away in a private hospital.
“ଓଡ଼ିଆ ସିନେ ଜଗତର ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ଫିଲ୍ମ ଏଡିଟର ଶ୍ରୀ ଦେଭେନ୍ ମିଶ୍ରଙ୍କ ଦେହାନ୍ତ ଖବର ଶୁଣି ମୁଁ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଦୁଃଖିତ । ମହାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ତାଙ୍କ ଅମର ଆତ୍ମାର ସଦଗତି କାମନା କରିବା ସହ ଶୋକ ସନ୍ତପ୍ତ ପରିବାର ବର୍ଗଙ୍କୁ ଗଭୀର ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଉଛି,” said MP Mohanty. Deben Mishra has been credited with editing over 80 Odia movies and was closely associated with director Sabyasachi Mohapatra.
An alumnus of The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, Mishra started his career in Bollywood and was the assistant editor in the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’. After working in 30 to 40 films in Mumbai, he returned to Odisha in 1997. A few years later, he made his foray into Odia film industry in 2004.
