BHUBANESWAR: Ronali Behera, wife of Satya Prakash Behera and daughter- in -law of Kendrapara BJD MLA Sashi Bhusan Behera , has filed a FIR against her in laws over harassment and dowry torture.
Ronali has filed the FIR at Banki Police Station in Cuttack. Ronali alleged that both her father in law MLA Behera and husband Satya Prakash continuously harassing her .
“Even I paid Rs 2 Lakh for video shooting of our marriage,’ Ronali claimed adding her , father in law , too demanded imported house hold items.‘They also time and again demanding money from my fellowship fees,” she alleged.
Based on the complaint, police registered a case against the MLA, son Satya Prakash and wife Suprava under sections 498 (A), 294, 506, 34 of IPC. Police also slapped section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act 1961.
