BHUBANESWAR:  On Saturday,  Pradeep Kumar Mohapatra, Additional Civil Supplies Officer (ACSO), Kendrapara was arrested by Odisha Vigilance and forwarded to the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack for possession of disproportionate assets (DA) to the tune of 336% of his known sources of income, which he could not account for satisfactorily.

In this connection, Vigilance Cell PS Case No.08 dated 17.08.2024 was registered against Sri Pradeep Kumar Mohapatra, ACSO and his spouse U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(b)/ 12 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018.

After thorough search, inventory and further enquiry, the income, expenditure and assets of Sri Pradeep Kumar Mohapatra, Additional Civil Supplies Officer (ACSO), Kendrapara were calculated and he was found in possession of disproportionate assets which were 336% in excess of his known sources of income. Investigation of the case is in progress.

During house searches, the following movable and immovable assets worth Crores were unearthed in the name of Sri Pradeep Kumar Mohapatra, ACSO and his family members

1) 1 Double storeyed building with area approx 5,600 Sqft. at Lingipur, Bhubaneswar.

2) 1 building at Kalyani Nagar, Madhupatna, Cuttack.

3) 2 plots in prime areas of Bhubaneswar & Cuttack.

4) Bank, Postal & Insurance deposits along with investment in Mutual fund Rs.2,86,09,569/-.

5) Cash Rs.1,21,500/-.

6) Gold weighing approx 850 gms including 4 gold biscuits & 1 Diamond Necklace set.

7) One Four Wheeler (Maruti Swift) and 2 two wheelers.

8) Household articles worth around Rs.7.35 Lakhs.
