BHUBANESWAR:BJP, the synonym of development, has become the trust of the people in the last 18 months after the 78-year change in the governance system of Odisha. Inspired by the ideology of BJP and expressing faith in the many public welfare, poor welfare, people welfare, all-round, all-reaching development works of the double-engine government in the state, hundreds of BJD and Congress workers of Kalahandi district have joined BJP today.
Today, with this merger, the party organization has increased in Kalahandi district. We will resolve to solve the basic problems of the people together and move towards the development of the state and the country, said State President Shri Manmohan Samal on the occasion of the merger festival held at the state office today.
The trust and confidence of the people of the state is increasing day by day under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the popular Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi. Today, the Block President of Lanjigarh Block, Kalahandi District, Smt. Kamala Patra officially joined the BJP after leaving the BJD. Along with Mrs. Patra, Mrs. Mukta Bhoi, Panchayat Samiti member of Lanjigarh Road Gram Panchayat, Mrs. Yashwanti Naik, Panchayat Samiti member of Bengaon Gram Panchayat, Mr. Trinath Majhi, Panchayat Samiti member of Bedgaon Gram Panchayat, Mr. Pungari Majhi, Panchayat Samiti member of Basantpada Gram Panchayat, Mr. Sanyasi Majhi, Panchayat Samiti member of Chhatrapur Gram Panchayat, Mr. Rupendra Chhatriya, Panchayat Samiti member of Bhatangpada Gram Panchayat, social worker of Bhuthigad Gram Panchayat Shri Harishankar Patra, Shri Dilip Kumar Naik, Shri San Bag have formally left the BJD and joined the BJP with the support of their supporters.
Similarly, Sarpanch of Sindipada Gram Panchayat of Thuamul Rampur Block Mrs. Gitanjali Majhi, Panchayat Committee Member of Thuamul Gram Panchayat Mrs. Rani Naik, Former Sarpanch of Sindipada Gram Panchayat Shri Vikram Majhi, Former Block BJD President Shri Ishwar Reli, BJD Youth Leader of Nakrundi Gram Panchayat Shri Ajit Naik, Shri Manoj Kumar Naik, Shri Pitavas Naik; Social Worker of Narla Block Shri Matilal Bhoi; BJD youth leader Shri Avni Kumar Bhoi of Borda Gram Panchayat in Bhawanipatna Block, Shri Surendra Pradhan of Cheliamal Gram Panchayat, Sarpanch Shri Sudhir Gahir of Kendupati Gram Panchayat, Naib Sarpanch Shri Barun Majhi, along with Congress social worker Vibhishan Majhi, have left the main BJD and Congress parties and joined the BJP with the support of their supporters.
State President Shri Manmohan Samal welcomed all the new members by giving them a sari and donning the party cap. State Vice President and Kalahandi District In-charge Shri Shivaji Mohanty, former Minister Shri Pradeep Kumar Naik, Dharmagarh MLA Shri Sudhir Ranjan Patayoshi, State Secretary Shri Saroj Kar, Kalahandi District President Shri Jugal Kishore Pod, District Vice President Shri Rupesh Jain, District General Secretary Shri Lokanath Durga, Shri Satya Behera, District Secretary Shri Bibhishan Sahu, Shri Bhavanishankar Niyal, Senior Leader Shri Bunty Jain were prominently present on the occasion.
