BHUBANESWAR: On Thursday, Kabiraj Sethi, Additional Tahsildar, Belaguntha, in Ganjam has been nabbed by Odisha Vigilance for taking bribe from a tractor owner to release his sand laden tractor. He detained the tractor since 5th Feb without bringing it on record demanding a bribe for its release.
Today he collected a fine Rs.30,000/-as tax/cess payment (challans being verified in view of discrepancies in customer/office copies) & further took a bribe of Rs.10,000/-to release the same. In this connection,Berhampur Vig PS case No.01/2026 u/s 7PC(Amd)Act, 2018 has been regd.
