BHUBANESWAR: Debajani Kar, Junior Clerk, office of Sub Registrar, Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar has been placed under arrest by Odisha Vigilance and will be forwarded today i.e on 10.12.2024 to Court for demanding and taking bribe of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand) from a complainant for execution of Registered Sale Deed (RSD) of subplot on 09.12.2024. Kar is sister of BJD Women wing leader Mandakini Kar.
Verification of cash over Rs.15 lakhs found during search of Sub-Registrar Office following trap, being done by Senior Departmental Officer and Vigilance Officers.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS case No.26 dt.08.12.2024 has been registered against Ms. Debajani Kar, Junior Clerk. Enquiry is in progress.
