BONAI/KOIRA: Sundargarh BJP Lok Sabha MP and former Union Minister, Jual Oram has strongly condemned the anti-labour policies of State owned Odisha Mining Corporation.
Addressing a massive agitation in Bonai in Sundargarh, Oram alleged that locals have been facing hardship due to fault policies of the OMC and thousands of workers working in OMC run mines in Sundargarh are being left out from basic facilities. Oram demanded strict implementation of labour laws, salary and pay revision of workers, he added.
It may be noted here that agitation came few days after the visit of State Steel and Mines secretary and OMC Chairman DK Singh and MD Balwant Singh to Sundargarh district. The OMC Chairman and MD had inaugurated and laid foundation stone of various welfare projects on a review visit to Sundargarh.
