NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: Union Minister of Steel RCP Singh in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on Monday informed that the Sajjan Jindal led JSW Steel Ltd has produced 14.78 Million Tonnes Crude steel and 14.05 Million Tonnes Finished Steel during 2020-21.
Minister Singh was replying total production capacity, actual production, consumption, import and export of both iron ore and finished steel in the Upper House. The Minister said in his reply, that JSW Steel, which has crude steel production capacity of 18.00 MT, produced 16.74 MT during 2018-19, 15.97 MT during 2019-20 and 14.78 MT during 2020-21. The Minister said, JSW Steel Ltd has produced 15.56 MT finished steel during 2018-19, 15.08 MT during 2019-20 and 14.05 MT during 2020-21.
Singh also informed that the leading Steel maker, Jindal Steel and Power Limited has produced around 6.86 million tonnes of crude steel and 4.34 million tonnes of finished steel during 2020-21. Minister Singh was replying total production capacity, actual production, consumption, import and export of both iron ore and finished steel in the Upper House.
The Minister said in his reply, that JSPL, which has crude steel production capacity of 8.60 million tonnes, had produced 5.25 Million tonnes during 2018-19, 5.86 MT during 2019-20 and 6.86 during 2020-21. The Minister said, JSPL produced 3.81 MT finished steel during 2018-19, 4.48 MT during 2019-20 and 4.34 MT during 2020-21.
