BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI: The Jindal Steel and Power Limited will invest more than Rs 1000 Crore for expansion of OP Jindal Global University located at Haryana’s Sonipat in next 10 years.
JSPL Chairman Naveen Jindal held detailed talks with O.P. Jindal Global University VC Prof C Rajkumar and Chief Architect Stephan Paumier to approve the University’s next 10years plan.
“In the next 10 years, we will build the JGU campus further. The campus will have offices for 1600 faculty members, housing for 12000 students, world-class sports centre and shooting ranges with an investment of Rs 1000 Crores,” JSPL Chairman Naveen Jindal tweeted@MPNaveenJindal.
“OPJGU was established in memory of my father to be a centre of excellence and produce outstanding leaders in various walks of life. I am pleased to see that it is fulfilling its vision through sustained hard work,” JSPL Chairman added. VC Prof Raj Kumar gifted JSPL Chairman delicious chocolate cake on completion of 12 years of service.
O.P. Jindal Global, formerly O. P. Jindal Global University is a private university located at Sonipat, Haryana, India. It was established in 2009 as a philanthropic initiative of its founding chancellor, Naveen Jindal in memory of his father, O.P. Jindal.
