BHUBANESWAR: The Naveen Jindal led Jindal Steel and Power Limited(JSPL) Jharkhand’s Chaibasa Headquarters Rungta Mines Group, subsidiary, Rungta Sons Pvt Ltd and Sajjan Jindal led JSW Steel among 21 Companies have submitted as many as 26 bids for 11 commercial coal mines blocks, which were put for under 14th Tranche of Auction under the Coal Mines (Special Provisions) Act, 2015 and 4th Tranche of Auction under the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957).
Both JSPL and JSW Steel have submitted 2 bids each while Rungta Sons Pvt Ltd submitted 1 bid, sources manning Ministry of Coal told over phone from New Delhi. Besides, JSPL JSW, Rungta Sons Pvt Limited, Kalki Ispat Pvt Ltd, BS Ispat Ltd, YJSL Logistics LLP, Virtuous Mining Ltd, Auro Coal Pvt Ltd, Indermani Mineral India Pvt Ltd, Sarda Energy & Mineral Ltd, Shyam Metalics & Energy Ltd, CG Natural Resources Pvt Ltd, Sarda Mines Pvt Ltd, Bharat Aluminium Company Ltd, Renga Engineering Works India (P) Ltd, Twenty First Century Mining Pvt Ltd, Chennai Radha Engineering Works (P) Ltd, Tamil Nadu Generation & Distribution Corporation Ltd, Mahanadi Mines and Minerals Pvt Ltd, Rungta Sons Pvt Ltd , Krishery Pvt Ltd and Amaltas Aviation Services Pvt Ltd have submitted their bids.
The 11 coal blocks included Binja, Chinora, Gare Palma IV/6, Rabodih OCP, Utkal B1 & B2, Alaknanda, Datima, Dongeri Tal – II Rampia & Dip Side of Rampia. The bids will be evaluated by a multi-disciplinary Technical Evaluation Committee and Technically Qualified Bidders would be shortlisted for participation in the electronic auction to be conducted on MSTC portal from March 24, 2022.
The Union Coal Ministry on Wednesday said, the process of 4th Tranche of Auction of coal mines for sale of coal was launched by the Nominated Authority, Ministry of Coal on December 16, 2021. The last date of submission of Technical Bid was February 28, 2022. As part of the auction process, Technical Bids comprising of online and offline bid documents were opened here today (March 02, 2022) at 10:00 AM onwards in the presence of the bidders.
The online bids were decrypted and opened electronically in the presence of the bidders. Subsequently, sealed envelopes containing offline bid documents were also opened in the presence of bidders. Entire process was displayed on the screen for the bidders. A total of 26 (Twenty-Six) bids have been received (both online and offline) against 11 (Eleven) coal mines. Two or more bids have been received for 5 (five) coal mines.
