JSPL Foundation Chairperson Shallu Jindal Interacts with Keonjhar’s Wushu Talents

BHUBANESWAR/BARBIL: Shallu Jindal, who heads the JSPL Foundation, the CSR arms of Naveen Jindal led Jindal Steel and Power Limited, has expressed her happiness with the achievement made by Wushu players of Odisha’s tribal dominated mineral rich Keonjhar district in recent National and global events.JSPL Foundation Chairperson visited Barbil in Keonjhar and interacted with Wushu players and their coaches. She also assured all possible  help to rare talents of Odisha through JSPL Foundation.

JSPL Foundation has been extending nutrition, infrastructure and coaching support to Wushu Players of Keonjhar, which resulted in ground with Wushu players from this mineral rich district hitting headlines for winning National and International Medals for the State of Odisha, governed by a sports loving Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

JSPL Chairman Naveen Jindal and JSPL Foundation Chairperson, Shallu Jindal are jointly missing no stone unturned to help out rare talents of  India including in mineral and coal rich Odisha. With Both JSPL Chairman and JSPL Foundation Chairperson, regularly visiting Odisha to review Company’s CSR activities, JSPL’s President and Head (Group CSR & Sustainability) Prashant Hota, is too also working overtime with his team of officials to implement it timely. JSPL Group’s CSR activities have been highly appreciated in many forums.

In March this year, Babulu Munda of Sialijoda village under Deojhar Grampanchayat of this district had brought laurels by winning Gold in the 19th Junior National Wushu Championship-2021. Babulu is being regularly supported by JSPL Foundation. In November 2020, JSPL Foundation-supported 3 Wushu athletes from Odisha’s tribal hinterland Barbil in Keonjhar district were selected for training under Sports Authority of India (SAI). While Krishna Khandayat joined National Centre of Excellence (NCOE), Bhopal, Babulu Munda and  Prem Munda are being imparted coaching at SAI’s Imphal centre in Meghalaya.
