JSP Foundation’s Free Cooked Meal Services Enter into 10th Day in Holy City of Puri

The Naveen Jindal led Jindal Steel and Power’s CSR wing JSP Foundation led by Chairpersons, Shallu Jindal, has been continuing its free cooked meal services at Odisha’s holy city of Puri for the week long world famous Rath Yatra of Shree Lord Jagannatha and his Siblings, who on Wednesday embarked on their return journey on occasion of Bahuda Yatra.

PURI/BHUBANESWAR:  The Naveen Jindal led Jindal Steel and Power’s CSR wing JSP Foundation led by Chairpersons, Shallu Jindal, has been continuing its free cooked meal services at Odisha’s holy city of Puri for the week long world famous Rath Yatra of Shree Lord Jagannatha and his Siblings, who on Wednesday embarked on their return journey on occasion of Bahuda Yatra.

JSP Chairman Naveen Jindal and JSP Foundation Chairperson Shallu Jindal are closely monitoring the service to ensure better coordination, sources added.

JSP Foundation which had started the free cooked meal services at different locations of Puri on June 19 on Netrautsav Day, continuing the service and it entered into 10th day today with more than 7 Lakhs devotees have been served with cooked meals, water and glucose. The service to continue till Sunabesha, sources said. Near about 10 lakh cooked meal have distributed so far.

Led by Prashant Hota, President and Group Head – CSR, Education & Sustainability, and Odisha Head Corporate Communications, Jindal Steel & Power, a team of more than 100 volunteers are serving the devotees at a specialised stall Bus Stand, near Sri Gundicha Temple, Puri. The devotees are given freshly prepared traditional Odia meals which included rice, dalma (medley of lentils and vegetables), and khatta (chutney made from tomatoes, jaggery, and dates).
