BHUBANESWAR: Amid celebrations of Raja festival in Odisha is in full swing, the Jindal Steel and Power Chairman Naveen Jindal on Wednesday extended his greetings to people of this eastern State, while tweeting in Odia language.
‘Greetings to the people of Odisha on #RajaParba, the unique 3 day festival celebrating Mother Earth. Happy Raja. ଧରିତ୍ରୀ ମାତା କଂ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ପାଇଁ ପବିତ୍ର ରଜ ମହୋତ୍ସବ ଉପଲକ୍ଷେ ସମସ୍ତ ଓଡିଶାବାସୀ କୁଂ ମୋର ହାର୍ଦ୍ଦିକ ଶୁଭେଛା ଏବଂ ଅଭିନନ୍ଦନ.,’ JSP Chairman Naveen Jindal said in a tweet.
This event marks the period of fertility regeneration of the earth, equivalent to menstrual cycle which women undergo. The first day is called Pahili Raja, the second day marks the advent of the month of Asadha and is commemorated by Mithuna Sankranti, the third day is known as Basi Raja and the fourth day of Basumati Gadhua signifies the end of menstruation of the earth.
