BHUBANESWAR:  The Jindal Steel and Power Chairman and Senior Lok Sabha MP, Mr Naveen Jindal was on Tuesday attended ‘Utkarsh Odisha’ – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 in Bhubaneswar, which was addressed by Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi and State Chief Minister Mr Mohan Charan Majhi.

The Third Times MP from Haryana, Mr Jindal thanked Chief Minister Mr Majhi for hosting this mega event . Mr Jindal informed that the Company is considering to set up a Steel plant in Keonjhar, home turf of CM Majhi. As  CM wanted a Steel plant in Keonjhar , JSP is considering it seriously to set up a  Steel plant in Keonjhar. He said, the company will conduct study on such possibilities for the plant.

He said , in next 6 years, the JSP will invest around Rs 70,000  for Angul Steel plant to take to 25 Million Ton Capacity. He said , green technology , hydrogen will be used in Angul steel plant expansion. Mr Jindal also appealed Investors to look for Odisha .  Odisha has conducive atmosphere for investment, the JSP Chairman said. He said, JSP has invested around Rs 1 Lakh Crore in Odisha, which is highest in the State. PM Modi’s presence has added special flavour to the conclave , he said adding JSP always kept its promise for Odisha.

On ‘Utkarsh Odisha–Make in Odisha Conclave 2025’, Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power Limited and BJP MP, Mr Naveen Jindal says, “Jindal Steel and Power has invested close to Rs one lakh crores in Odisha. A steel plant with a capacity of six million tonnes is already operational in the state. We will double the capacity of this steel plant from six million tonnes to 12 million tonnes within a year. After that, within the next six years, we want to double the capacity of this steel plant again by making it 25 million tonnes -making it the world’s largest single-location steel plant with an investment of Rs 70,000 crores. There is a lot of potential in Odisha.

‘We will also try to make green steel. The coal gasification plant should be operated well. We are developing the Western Dock Port in Paradip. Therefore, we are doing a lot of investment in the state. There is a very favourable environment for investment in Odisha. Today, the  Prime Minister is coming to Odisha. This will give us more strength and in the coming years I think that this double-engine government in Odisha will make unprecedented development and the youth of this place will have a very bright future,”

‘There is a lot of growth in the mining sector and today I think that the financial condition of Odisha is the strongest compared to any state in the country, in which mining and industry have a huge role. The Chief Minister is working on this. He is working hard day and night and his efforts will definitely pay off. Odisha is already a very successful state, where a lot of investment is taking place and there will be more investment in the coming times,” Mr Jindal added.

The Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Manjhi, Deputy CMs, KV Singh Deo, Pravati Parida, Speaker Surama Padhi,  Union Ministers Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Industry Minister Sampad Swain, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, DC Anu Garg, Industry Secretary Hemant Sharma, DGP YB Khurania were present among other dignitaries at the event. Apart from that Industry Captains like Sajjan Jindal, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Anil Agarwal, TV Narendra and many others attended the event.
