BHUBANESWAR: In response to some contradictory reports in a section of media, regarding ED search on Naveen Jindal led Jindal Steel and Power’s office premises in Delhi and Gurugram, the India’s 5th largest crude steel producer, on Friday said in a statement that the Company “always practices a policy of full compliance with extant of laws and will always dutifully respond to any departmental enquires,”
“JSP Premise at Delhi and Gurugram has been visited by the officials of Enforcement Directorate for seeking routine business related information. JSP always practices a policy of full compliance with extant of laws and will always dutifully respond to any departmental enquires. The Company has, and will always cooperate fully with any Government agencies on any enquiry that may arise in due course of business. JSP adheres to the highest standard of corporate governance and ethical business practices,” JSP said in a statement.
Earlier, a section of media reported about ED searches over suspected violation of foreign exchange regulations. Part of O P Jindal Group, JSP has a significant presence in the steel, power, and mining sectors, with investments worth around Rs 90,000 crore across the globe.Naveen Jindal, a former MP, is the chairman of JSP.
