BHUBANESWAR: A joint eviction drive of BMC, BDA and GA department on Tuesday bulldozed several illegal encroachments on Road sides at Satya Nagar area.
The team bulldozed all small and medium level shops amid protest from vendors. Both sides of Big Bazar and Satya Nagar PWD IB area were completely cleared by the drive.
Locals vendors and small time shop owners opposed the move but went in vain.
Sources said, ahead of Hockey World Cup, such eviction drive will continue for next few days across the State Capital.
