Jharsuguda Bypolls in Odisha:  With lead of 42,398 Votes at the end of 16th round, Deepali Das emerges front Runner for a Cabinet Berth

At the end of 15th round of counting for Jharsuguda bypolls in Odisha, BJD candidate Deepali Das has bagged 94,329, votes and is leading with 42,398 Votes, over BJP’s Tankadhar Tripathy as the Saffron Parry candidate got 51,931 votes at the end of 15th round.

BHUBANESWAR:  At the end of 15th round of counting for Jharsuguda bypolls in Odisha, BJD candidate Deepali Das has bagged 94,329, votes and is leading with 42,398 Votes, over BJP’s Tankadhar Tripathy as the Saffron Parry candidate got 51,931 votes at the end of 15th round. ”I am happy and this win is for people of Jharsuguda, this win is CM’s win and this is late Naba Das’s win,” said Deepali Das.

 Congress’ Tarun Pandey got 4111 votes till end of 15th round. Amid such a huge lead, Deepali Das is now front runner for a Cabinet berth in view of the vacancy in Naveen Patnaik Government following resignation of Speaker BK Arukha, 2 Ministers Samir Ranjan Dash and Srikant Sahu, adding death of Deepali’s father, ex Health Minister Naba Das. With Speaker, 3 more Ministers likely to be inducted in the ensuing Cabinet reshuffle. With Deepali Das all set sweep the Polls, CM Patnaik may seriously consider her name for a  berth in State Cabinet.

 According to reports, the counting of votes for the Jharsuguda Assembly Constituency bypoll began at 8 AM today. The votes are being counted on 14 tables and the counting is going in as many as 19 rounds, out of which, 16 rounds have been completed.
