Jharsuguda Bypolls in Odisha:   BJD’s Deepali Das Outplays BJP’s Tankadhar Tripathy by 48,619 Votes

BHUBANESWAR:  At the end of counting of votes for Jharsuguda bypolls in Odisha, BJD candidate Deepali Das has won the seat by 48,619 Votes against BJP’s Tankadhar Tripathy.

Deepali Das has bagged 107,003, votes and won by 48,619 Votes, over BJP’s Tankadhar Tripathy as the Saffron Parry candidate got 58,384 votes at the end of counting.

 Congress’ Tarun Pandey got 4473 votes till end of counting. Amid such a huge win, Deepali Das is now front runner for a Cabinet berth in view of the vacancy in Naveen Patnaik Government following resignation of Speaker BK Arukha, 2 Ministers Samir Ranjan Dash and Srikant Sahu, adding death of Deepali’s father, ex Health Minister Naba Das. With Speaker, 3 more Ministers likely to be inducted in the ensuing Cabinet reshuffle. With Deepali Das all set sweep the Polls, CM Patnaik may seriously consider her name for a  berth in State Cabinet.
