BHUBANESWAR: Jankia P.S Case No- 09 dtd 7.1.24 U/s 379/411/34 IPC/ Rws 11(a)(d)(e) Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act.
Complaint :-Bidyadhara Mallik, ASI of Police, Jankia P.S, Khordha. Place of occurrence:- Near Malaguni Overbridge, On NH-16. Date of occurrence:-On 6/7.01.24 midnight at about 2.10 A.M. Nos of Cattle Rescued:- 70 Cattle rescued.
Seizure: One Container Vehicle bearing Registration No- UP-23 AT-1851, loaded with 70 nos of cattle, loaded in cruelty manner.
Accused detained on 08.01.2024 at Jankia P.S : (a) Mustaqim Shah (25) S/o- Islam Shah (DRIVER), Vill- Chhotmalpur P.S- Fatehpur Dist-Sahranpur State- Uttar Pradesh, (b) Mir Hasan (6) S/o-Late Nur Hasan, Vill-Kailashpur P.S- Gagharedi Dist- Sahranpur State- Uttar Pradesh, (c ) Shahrukh Mallik (26) S/o- Mahammad Ayub, Vill- Kailashpur P.S- Gagharedi Dist- Sahranpur State- Uttar Pradesh.
Brief facts of the case:-
On 6/7/01/24 Midnight at about 1.30 A.M, information was received regarding smuggling and transportation of cattles in a Container Vehicle bearing Regd No- UP-23 AT-1851 in Cruelty manner and the vehicle will proceed towards Andhra Pradesh. Immediately, informed SP, Khordha SDPO Khordha.
Soon after the receipt of the information about the smuggling & transportation of cattle illegally in the above noted container vehicle in cruelty manner , as per direction of Sri Siddhartha Kataria, SP, Khordha, a team under the leadership of Dillip Kumar Das, SDPO, Khordha has been formed & raid was conducted on NH-16. And, police was able to apprehend the container vehicle bearing Registration No- UP-23 AT-1851 & on verification, found that, huge numbers of cattle i.e 70 nos loaded inside it in a cruelty manner. On verification, found two nos of helper & one driver inside the container.
On being asked them, they disclosed their name as above & didn’t show any documents towards such transportation of cattle. Further disclosed that, as per direction of the owner of the Container vehicle & by the help of some cattle , he transported the cattle to Andhra Pradesh. However, In this connection, the container loaded with the 70 nos of cattle has been seized & Jankia P.S Case No- 09 dtd 7.1.24 U/s 379/411/34 IPC/ Rws 11(a)(d)(e) Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act & the cattle got rescued & shifted to Gosala safely.
Raiding Team:- One Team with selected officers and men engaged for investigation and arrest of accused person under the leadership of Sri Dillip Kumar Das, OPS, SDPO, Khordha, Insp. Prajna R.Kar, IIC, Jankia PS, Khordha, SI Tushar Parida , ASI Bidyadhara Mallik, HG- Basant Kumar Barik and other staffs managed to apprehend the Container vehicle,& rescue of the cattles & apprehension of three persons ie. Driver & two nos of Helper from outside of the state. Name of the I.O:- S.I Tusharkant Parida Of Jankia P.S.
