ITER Alumnus launches Start-Up to provide service solutions

BHUBANESWAR: A group of former students of the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering of the SOA Deemed to be University, have launched a start-up which can respond to myriad service requirements of customers and answer their queries.

Home Acts Private Ltd is an on-line market place which would extend servicing and repairing of gadgets like air-conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and answer queries related to bikes and cars, a release issued by the company said.

The company has technicians like electricians, plumbers, carpenters and software developers to meet the requirements of customers and also provide professional assistance in a wide area including Salon at Home, weddings, events, renovation work and security services.

“We are mainly focusing on Atma Nirvar Bharat policy of the government and all our technicians are from the local community and are trained professionally. Users can avail our services by downloading our app from the Google Playstore,” the release said adding the job could be done at minimum cost with a warranty period of 30 days.The company has more than 240 technicians across Bhubaneswar city.

The company was founded by Amit Kumar Prusty (Co-founder), who did his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from ITER. Mr. Asutosh Das, Managing Director of the company did his M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the same institute. The group includes  Satish Kumar Samal (pursuing Ph.D in Electronics at ITER) who is the mentor of the group and Mr. Avisek Acharya, Gravitational Biologist and Researcher, Koln University (Germany) is the advisor.
