BHUBANESWAR: Business man Tara Patnaik’s Falcon Marine Exports Ltd under IT Department scanner on Thursday.
The simultaneous raids are being conducted by teams of I-T officials at the main office of Falcon Marine Exports Ltd in Bhubaneswar as well as several other locations including Balasore and Khurda. Around 20 teams of I-T officials are carrying out the search operations since early this morning.
The raids are being conducted on the company, considered as one of the largest seafood firms in the state, for detection of alleged tax evasion.
The raids are going on following allegations of tax evasions, sources said, adding that the I-T department is also conducting raids at the houses of the company’s promoters.
