BHUBANESWAR: Crorepati former MLA of Champua in Keonjhar, Jitu Patnai, under Income Tax Department scanner. Raids are going on at Joda in Keonjhar.
Sources said, two teams are carrying out simultaneous raids at the ex-legislator’s house near Sai temple at Joda and mines office at Baneikala Square on allegations of tax evasion.
In May 2022, The Enforcement Directorate had seized Rs 133 Crore fixed deposit from Patnaik.Patnaik’s Bank Accounts in State Bank of India (SBI), IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank, Keonjhar Central Cooperative Bank, and Kotak Bank.
