BHUBANESWAR: PK Jena, Odisha’s new Chief Secretary was on Wednesday assumed office. CS Jena was welcomed and greeted by Principal Secretary Information and Public Relations and Rural Development, Sanjay Kumar Singh and Information and Public Relations Department, Director Indramani Tripathy.
Both Singh and Tripathy wished new CS Jena a very successful tenure at the helm of Odisha administration. The 1989 Batch IAS, Shri Jena took over as Suresh Chandra Mohapatra has superannuated from the Service. New Chief Secretary was given a warm welcome by senior officers of the State Administration.
Earlier, Anu Garg, who was appointed as Development Commissioner of Odisha, on Wednesday took charge. She was welcomed by IPR and RD Secretary Singh and IPR Department, Director Tripathy. Both Singh and Tripathy wished Garg an eventful and memorable tenure as DC.
Garg was earlier served as Additional CS, Water Resources Department and she was perhaps first woman DC of Odisha in recent past. 1991 Batch IAS Anu Garg has taken over as Development Commissioner of Odisha after Pradeep Jena left office of DC to take over as Chief Secretary of Odisha.
