BHUBANESWAR: Already a name to reckon with in Odisha’s healthcare ecosystem, the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, faculty of medicine of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) in Bhubaneswar, will be unveiling its new campus at Sitalapalli in Ganjam district on February 14, 2024.
SOA has taken this major initiative keeping in view the growing demand for quality healthcare facilities in south Odisha.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Sri Naveen Patnaik has given his kind consent to inaugurate the facility.
SOA had launched the second campus of IMS and SUM Hospital at Phulnakhara on NH-16 between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack on January 21, 2024 which was also inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister.
The Sitalapalli campus of SUM Hospital will initially have 200 beds which will be expanded to 500 beds subsequently while offering the most advanced healthcare facilities and cutting edge technology at affordable cost. It will also extend 24×7 emergency services to patients.
IMS and SUM Hospital in Bhubaneswar, which is ranked 16th in the country among medical colleges by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2023, has been serving the people of Odisha and neighbouring states for the last 19 years. It has emerged as one of the most popular healthcare destinations in the region.
SOA has also established the state-of-the-art quaternary care SUM Ultimate Medicare in Bhubaneswar. All four hospitals run by SOA will compliment each other while endeavouring to extend quality healthcare to the people.SOA is a deemed to be university which is ranked 15h in the country by NIRF in 2023.
