BHUBANESWAR: Infocity PS Case No-263 Dated.03.08.2023, U/s.458/395 IPC r/wSec-25/27 Arms Act.PO: From the house of Complainant., Nandan Vihar, PS- Infocity, Bhubaneswar UPD.
Gist of the Case:
On 02.08.2023 evening in between 7.30 PM to 08 PM while the Compalinant and his son were present, 03 unknown persons entered into the house of the Complainant in Plot No-268/2, Basundhara Colony, Nandan Vihar, BBSR and identified themselves as CBI staff. Suddenly other 04 to 05 persons entered into the house and took them into the kitchen on the point of pistol and knives and tied their mouth and hands by means of cello tape and towel. Then the culprits took them into their bedroom and then committed docoity of cash of Rs.2 Crores and more kept in 02 No.s of attachi and basta, gold ornaments from the steel almirah (which was un-locked) and 02 Nos of mobile phones from the Complt.and his son.
During the course of investigation, the I.O. has visited the spot and examined the complt. and his son and other neighbouring witnesses, seized one SIM Card, one bundle of cello tape and two Nos of towels, one crow bar, etc from the spot. Also, the witnesses disclosed that 06 to 08 unknown persons were moving suspiciously in the locality near the spot house at Basundhara Colony, Nandan Vihar, BBSR who were come in a white colour Maruti-Suzuki Ertiga Car bearing Regd.No-OD-25-E- 1051.
Also, on verification of the seized SIM Card, it came to light that the same SIM Card stands in the name of Badal of Rengali under Angul District, who was the previous private driver of the relative of the Complt.and previously had visited regularly the house of the complt. (Spot house). On verification of the onwership of the Ertiga Car, it stands in the name of Hemanta Kumar Dhir of Rengali, Dist-Angul, then the same car was seized and then Hemanta Kumar Dhir is apprehended who disclosed that he along with Badal, Sana, Raja, Kalia, Bitu, Sk. Latif@Abid. Zahir Khan and Ganesh Mandal committed the crime.
On 26.08.2023, 5 accused were arrested and Cash of Rs.1.02 Crore, Gold ornaments like one neckless, one gold chain, 04 Nos of Ring Finger, one pair of ear flower, One country made Pistol. was seized from their possession and they were forwarded to Hon’ble court on 27.08.2023. While further investigation is going on in this case, other 3 accused involved in this case were arrested today and Cash of Rs. 66,50000/- (Sixty six lakh fifty thousand), Two gold chain, six nos of gold finger rings (total 43 gm), was seized from their possession and they have been forwarded to Hon’ble court today.
Investigation is in progress to nab other accused persons in this case.

3. Ganesh Mandal (19) S/o Ranjit Mandal of vill-Bhusandpur, Balipatpur, PS- Tangi, Dist-Khurda, A/p-Haladipadia basti, PS-Laxmisagar, Dist-Khurda, BBSR.
Seizure:
1. Cash of Rs. 66,50000/- (Sixty six lakh fifty thousand)
2. Two gold chain, six nos of gold finger rings (total 43 gm)
