CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: A preparatory meeting for upcoming India-SA T20 International Cricket match at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack Chaired by RDC here in Cuttack, where OCA President Pankaj Lochan Mohanty and Secretary Sanjay Behera and others were among those present. The online ticket booking for the Barabati match has commenced today.
OCA President Mohanty also chaired a preparatory meeting of all the committees at the OCA Conference Hall. OCA President Mohanty sought cooperation from all quarters for the smooth conduct of this T-20 international Cricket match, which is scheduled on June 12.
Other dignitaries present in the meeting were Chandra Sarathi Behera MLA, Cuttack Sadar, Debi Ranjan Tripathy, MLA, Banki, Rajendra Sahoo, MLA, Begunia, Souvic Biswal, MLA, Cuttack Chowdwar and Subash Singh, Mayor, Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC).
Among others Debasish Samantray, Ex-MLA, Barabati Cuttack, Asirbad Behera, Secretary,OOA, Avijit Paul, Secretary, OOA, Sanjay Behera Secretary, OCA graced the occasion.
Mehtab Khan, Joint Secretary, OCA, Bikash Pradhan, Treasurer, OCA, Suvashis Senapati, Member, APEX Council and all members from affiliated units.
Meanwhile, seeking cancellation of the upcoming Barabati T20 International match between India and South Africa, a public interest litigation (PIL) was filed in the Orissa High Court on Wednesday.
The petition was filed by one Sanjay Nayak of Bhuban in the Dhenkanal district alleging that Barabati stadium does not have adequate fire safety measures.
In his PIL, Nayak sought the court’s direction to cancel the match scheduled for June 12.The Odisha government and BCCI and 13 others have been made respondents to the case.
