BHUBANESWAR: In Exercise of the powers conferred under section 20(1) of the code of criminal procedure 1973(Act-II of 1974, the Odisha Government shifted 3 Collectors and posted 3 new Collectors for districts like Puri, Balasore and Mayurbhanj.
Mayurbhanj Collector Ashish Thakare of 2011 batch has been shifted and posted as Collector Balasore while Puri Collector Bijay Kumar Dash (SCS-2012), transferred and posted as Commissioner, Cuttack Municipal Corporation. The post of Chairman CMC has been declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Joint Secretary in Government provided in IAS cadre of the State. Dash will hold additional charge Vice Chairman CDA.
Sidharth Shankar Swain of 2014 batch, shifted from CMC and CDA and posted as new Collector for Puri while Balasore Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde of 2016 batch, transfreed and posted as Collector Mayurbhanj.
