CHOUDWAR/CUTTACK: India’s leading Ferro chrome maker IMFA Group has observed World Environment Day at its Choudwar plant in Cuttack amid a host of awareness activities on environment.
World Environment Day (WED) occurs on 5 June every year, and is the United Nation’s principal vehicle for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment.
Regional officer of Odisha State Pollution Control Board Dilip Das, IMFA’s Ferro alloys division NH Babu, GM Power plant LK Mohapatra graced the occasion. MM Mukharjee and SK Panigrahi coordinated the event. The theme for 2017 is ‘Connecting People to Nature – in the city and on the land, from the poles to the equator’. The host nation is Canada.
