SUKINDA/KALIAPANI:The inter unit IMFA day & night Volleyball league was organised by Sukinda & Mahagiri mines on Friday at Mahagiri Enclave in Kaliapani Panchayat.
In this league five teams from Bhubaneswar , Therubali, Choudwar, BIPF ITC- Sukinda and Mining Business Unit played and the highest scorers among them emerged Therubali and Choudwar team. Then in the final match Therubali knocked out Choudwar team in two sets as 15-10 and 15-7 points and became champion.
The tournament was Inaugurated by Sudhanshu Patni, Vice president – Mining in presence of Sangeeta Pradhan, Samiti Sabhya – Kaliapani Panchayat, Deepak Prusty, Sr. GM and G V Rakesh, GM- Supply Chain dept. from Choudwar plant, Lalatendu Mohapatra, GM Mines-Mahagiri , Manoj Samal, Mines manager- Sukinda, Ajay Behuria, DGM ( P & A) and other dignitaries and employees from Mining Business Unit. Entire Tournament was conducted in discipline by two prominent referees Prabhash Kumar Mohanty and Sashi Bushan Nayak.
Finally the Winner’s Trophy was given to the Therubali Plant team and Runners up Trophy to Choudwar plant Team.
