BHUBANESWAR: Heavy rain is expected to lash Odisha in next few days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre here on Wednesday issued heavy rainfall alert for 11 districts of the state for next two days.
As per the latest IMD bulletin, “heavy rain is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sonepur, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Angul, Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur in the next two days. The Meteorological Centre has issued a Yellow warning for these districts.
“Heavy rain is very likely to lash one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar & Jharsuguda. Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Deogarh, Sonepur, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Angul, Sundergarh, Kenojhar and Jharsuguda between 8.30 am of January 2 and 8.30 am of January 3,” the bulletin further read.
From 8.30 am of January 3 till 8.30 am of January 4, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal and Angul, the Met Centre said.
