BHUBANESWAR:Ila-Banshidhar Panda Kala Samman 2021 for excellence and life time achievements in the field of Art & Music by Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust(IMPaCT) has been bagged by senior artist Shri Jagadish Chandra Kanungo and renowned Ghumura artist Shri Jayant Kumar Behera this year. There is a tradition of felicitating the winners with citations along with a cash award of Rs 1.5 lakh each.
The Sarala Puraskar for the year 2021 have also been announced. Renowned narrator Paramita Satpathy will receive the award this year for her novel ‘Abhipret Kaal’. The honors will be presented at the Sarala Puraskar awards ceremony in October, the Trust said.
The annual Sarala Puraskar instituted by eminent Odia industrialist Late Dr. Bansidhar Panda and Late Mrs. Ila Panda in the year 1980, has been continuously awarded by Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT). IMPaCT is the charitable wing of IMFA Ltd., the leading fully integrated producer of Ferro Alloys in India. Sarala Puraskar is recognised as the foremost literary award of our State.
This award is one of the finest contributions of IMPaCT to glorify Odia literature. The Ekalabya Puraskar also has been instituted by IMPaCT to encourage promising sports talents of Odisha.
