IIPM Hosts 61st Anniversary Celebration in New Delhi

Sixty First Anniversary of International Indecency Prevention Movement(IIPM) was celebrated in New Delhi in a simple and solemn manner. Seventy Sixth Birth Ceremony of the Founder of IIPM Revered Shri Kumar Bhai was also observed during the occasion. Hundreds of IIPM’s members, sympathisers and disciples of late lamented Kumar Bhai gathered at the premises of Shri Jagannath Temple in Hauz Khas to take part in the double celebrations.

NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: Sixty First Anniversary of International Indecency Prevention Movement(IIPM) was celebrated in New Delhi in a simple and solemn manner. Seventy Sixth Birth Ceremony of the Founder of IIPM Revered Shri Kumar Bhai was also observed during the occasion. Hundreds of IIPM’s members, sympathisers and disciples of late lamented Kumar Bhai gathered at the premises of Shri Jagannath Temple in Hauz Khas to take part in the double celebrations.

The month long World wide celebration of IIPM’s Foundation Day was inaugurated by Hon’ble Governor of Odisha Professor Ganeshi Lal at Sovaniya Sikhyashram in Cuttack on 8th April 2023. Shri Kumar Bhai formed IIPM in his 16th birthday on 8th April 1962 with an aim to establish World Peace, prevent Indecency in society and develop decency in human life to make it happier, healthier, decent, lovable, blissful and peaceful. An apostle of Peace, Symbol of Humanism and Pleader of Reformed progress, Shri Kumar Bhai had blessings of Stalwarts like Smt. Rama Devi, Padmashri Dr. Laxmi Narayan Sahu, Dr. Pranakrushna Parija and Padmabhushan Shri Kalindi Charan Panigrahi to carry on his ideal missions and lofty Visions in Life. Unfortunately he expired at the age of 46 in the year 1993. After Kumar Bhai’s departure at first Guruma Late Satyabhama Debi and now Guruma Dr. Arundhati Debi is devoted to accomplish the unfinished agenda of Kumar Bhai as the Director and Secretary of IIPM.

The Ceremony commenced with the offering of flowers at the portrait of Shri Kumar Bhai and the lighting of ceremonial lamp by the Distinguished Guests. Addressing the gathering the Chief Guest Chairman Of the World Odisha Society Kishore Dwibedi appealed to all responsible citizens to follow the path shown by respected Kumar Bhai and the noble mottos of IIPM to develop a better, peaceful, prosperous, polite and pollution free World. Shri Dwibedi urged upon people to maintain discipline, decency and dignity avoiding vulgarity, violence and vanity in the human life to fulfil the dreams of Kumar Bhai. Guest of Honour senior Lawyer Abani Sahu paid glowing tribute to Kumar Bhai and highlighted the relevance of his preachings to overcome the negativity arising out of war and destruction in the current World.  Expert Dr. Divya Tanwar cautioned about the emerging indecency due to the increase in cyber crimes in alarming rate because of mushrooming of Social Medias. She advised for the limited use of Social Media and minimum uploading of informations to maintain cyber safety and security. In his speech Guest Of Honour the leading Advocate of Supreme Court Ram Avtar Sharma lauded the role of IIPM in spreading India’s rich culture and lofty value system in National and International arenas with an aim to build up global peace and harmony. Chief Organizer, President of Vijayani Foundation Reeta Patra presented vote of thanks. Other dignitaries who spoke during the meeting include Byasadev Nayak, Pushpanjali Barik, Bibhu Sahu and Madhu Das.

At the outset, IIPM theme Song written by Kumar Bhai was played. After that young and upcoming Odissi Dancer Samrudhi Mishra enthralled the audiences with her spectacular performance. Founder of Mahakankhya Foundation Pushpanjali Barik, Tennis star Dillip Mohanty, Senior Journalist Vishan Prakash Sharma, Guruma Gitanjali Behura, T.V. Anchor Archana Singh and Social Activist Vimla Devi were felicitated during the occasion for their meritorious services. Nandan Dwibedi and Aditya Patra ably handled the live streaming of the event in social media.

Prominent personalities present include Secretary of the Jagannath Temple Ravi Pradhan, Vinayak Das, Sarita Mohapatra, Ojoswini Satpathy, Acharya Abhimanyu, Bandana Kar, Bhabana Kar, Harapriya Pradhan, Pramod Routray, Dillip Das, Shilpi Rashmi and Nalini Kanta Mishra, Archana and Chakrapani Parida, Priyattama and Asit Kar and Uttam Kumar.
