BHUBANESWAR/CUTTACK: The Vigilance on Wednesday, while sharing updates in IIC Bangomunda PS Interception case in Balangir, added that apart from Rs Rs 2, 06,220/, recovered during interception, further, Rs 3.8 Lakh cash recovered from the official residence of IIC at Bangamunda. Total cash recovered and seized = Rs 5,86,220.0. Investigation in progress, it said.
On Tuesday eveing, IIC Binod Bihari Nayak, of Bangomunda Police Station in Bolangir was intercepted by Odisha Vigilance near Toll Gate, Bargarh, and Rs 2, 06,220/- suspected to be ill gotten cash, was recovered from his possession, which he couldn’t account for satisfactorily.
Similtaneous house searches had been launched on properties of Sri Nayak at 4 places in Bolangir, Sambalpur and Deogarh district.
