IGP (Operations) Amitabh Thakur’s Father-in-Law KS Rajhansa Passes away

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha IGP (Operations) Amitabh Thakur bereaved as his father-in-law and former IFS officer, KS Rajhansa passed away in Mumbai while undergoing treatment.

Rajhansa was a 1963 batch Indian Forest Service Officer and earned good name for his work in forest and environment sector. He was also a very soft spoken officer and always encouraged his junior staffs to do well, sources said.

IGP (Operations) Amitabh Thakur, an IPS officer of Odisha cadre of 1998 batch, hails from Bihar’s Darbhanga, has been manning State Home Department’s Control Room on COVID-19.

“Deeply condoling the sad demise of KS Rajhansa, 1963 batch Indian Forest Service Officer and Father-in-Law of Odisha IGP(Operations) Amitabh Thakur,” a senior Journalist in Bhubaneswar said.
