BHUBANESWAR: Odisha IGP (Operations) Amitabh Thakur, an IPS officer of 1998 batch of Odisha cadre, hailing from Bihar, on Thursday turned 50 with his Colleagues, well-wishers and his wife poured best wishes on him.
One photo was shared in twitter by Dr Nidhi Prasad, wife of ADGP (Modernisation) Sanjay Singh, an IPS officer of 1997 batch, where along with ADGP Singh, DIG (SIW), Anirudha Singh, and Bhubaneswar DCP, Prateek Singh, IGP Thakur was seen celebrating his birth day in a gymnasium and cutting cake amid claps of his IPS Colleagues, Seniors and Juniors.

Meanwhile, sharing few teenage photos of her husband, IGP Thakur’s wife, Reecha Thakur tweeted “ @AMITABHTHAKUR21, your 50th is just the beginning of more amazing things to come.Happy Birthday 🎉 🌹,”.
Thakur, besides, serving as Khurda SP , Bhubaneswar’s 1st DCP, is now IGP(Operations) and also had served in CBI at New Delhi and Mumbai.
