PURIBHUBANESWAR: “Mission Shakti has given a unique identification to the women of Odisha. If they wish, the BJD can sustain for 100 years. They should come forward and take charge of the state,” said Biju Janata Dal supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday.
“My sincere request to mothers and sisters to come forward and take responsibility. With the blessings of our mothers, BJD will be able to serve the people of Odisha for 100 years and not just 25 or 50 years. Conch symbol will continue to be a victory for the pride of Odia,” the Chief Minister said.
Addressing party’s 26th foundation day function at Talabania ground in Puri, Patnaik advised the workers and leaders of the party to work towards the welfare of the people of Odisha. “Those who want the development of Odisha should join the BJD irrespective of their profession,” he added.
The BJD is no more a party, it’s a social revolution. Development of Odisha and transparent governance are the main agendas of the party, he said.
“Our primary duty is –to work for our state and its people, its interest, development, glory, language and culture. BJD has been working for the interest of Odisha,” the CM said.He said the second one is – Biju Babu’s ideology. “I have always said that Biju Babu was not a leader, he was a phenomenon and he was completely futuristic – way ahead of his times. And every drop of his blood was filled with the prosperity of Odisha and the pride of Odisha,” Patnaik said.
“Our government and party have given maximum importance to women’s empowerment. The people of Odisha have given us the opportunity to serve them for many years, for which we are grateful to them. Their trust is our biggest asset,” he said.
