NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: The Executive Director of International Energy Agency Dr Birol has met Indian PNG-Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and discussed many issues.
“Always a pleasure meeting my good friend Dr. @IEABirol, Executive Director, International Energy Agency @IEA. We had meaningful discussions on the recent developments in the global oil market and on overcoming oil security challenges,” Pradhan twitted.
India and @IEA share a long-standing, strong and positive relationship. We also agreed to further expand our scope of engagements for a more secure and sustainable energy future for India, the Indian Minister wrote.
“Dr. Birol and I, also agreed to intensify our mutual cooperation and work together on a wide range of India centric energy issues including affordable energy access, energy efficiency, green mobility, reducing emissions in the industrial sector and clean energy transition. We will also work with IEA for brining about energy efficiency aspects in the Steel sector,” added Pradhan.
