BHUBANESWAR: After holding successful meets at Dubai, New Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, Odisha Government in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the national industry partner for Make in Odisha Conclave 2022, is being organised an Odisha Investors’ Meet in Hyderabad on Monday.
A senior Government of Odisha delegation led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reached Hyderabad on Sunday to participate in the event.
The key members of the delegation include Minister – Industries, MSME and Energy, Pratap Keshari Deb, Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, Principal Secretary, Industries Department, Skill Development and Technical Education and Chairman-IDCO and Chairman-IPICOLHemant Sharma, Secretary, E&IT Department Manoj Kumar Mishra and Executive Chairman, Start-Up Odisha Dr Omkar Rai among others.
Odisha with its long coastline and developed ports in Dhamra, Paradip and Gopalpur acts as a gateway to the East and South-East Asia. The State Government has undertaken massive infrastructure development work including the Biju Expressway, to create an infrastructure led industrial ecosystem in the State catering to both domestic and export markets. The Chief Minister is expected to highlight the major pro-business reforms undertaken by his Government and urge the industrialists to explore Odisha as a potential destination for setting up their business units.
On Sunday, Chief Secretary Mahapatra chaired meetings with potential companies from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in the sectors of food processing, metal downstream, plastics etc. The Chief Minister reviewed the status of the Investors’ Meet and advised IPICOL and FICCI teams to schedule meetings. Over 300 industrialists, businesspersons and investors across sectors have already registered for the meet.
