BHUBANESWAR: BJP will win around 17 Lok Sabha seats of the total 21 seats and will form the next Government in Odisha, by securing the required majority in the 147 members Odisha Assembly, Union Home and Cooperation Minister and BJP’s key election startgist, Amit Shah said in an Interview to NDTV.
“We are certainly winning 17 Lok Sabha seats and the new Government which will be formed in the State, will be led by BJP,” Shah said adding BJP is with people and winning their hearts . “Hum vacation par nahi jate” he replied to NDTV. Shah said, Parliamentary Board will take call on Chief Minister candidate of Odisha.
‘We are not here for vacation and we are certain to register win,” Shah said. The first phase of polls in Odisha witnessed an impressive turned out of 73.97 percent Voting recorded till 11.45 PM on Monday. Nabarangpur Lok Sabha seat witnessed 80.22% followed by Koraput 76.98% , Kalahandi 75.71% and Berhampur 63.34% , CEO Odisha said.
Considering the huge turnout, Odisha unit of BJP is also confident to do better in twin polls of Lok Sabha and Assembly.
Former State President and National Executive Member Samir Mohanty while addressing press along with Party leaders Dr Jatin Mohanty, Dilip Mallick and Sujit Das, said, that in the first phase of polls certainly shows the tide of change in favour of the BJP in the state.
