Huge response to Jay Panda’s Padayatra in Rajkanika-Aul irked Pratap Deb

RAJKANIKA/AUL/KENDRAPARA: After leading an impressive Gandhi Sankalp Padayatra in first week of this month at Kendrapara district headquarters’, BJP National Vice-President, Spokesperson and 4th times MP, Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda on Tuesday led another massive Padayatra in Rajkanika block of the district, raising a hope for his political comeback in this political sensitive district.

Flanked by local BJP leaders, Panda went through door to door and villages to villages in western and eastern Kanika highlighting Gandhian philosophy, achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA Government and also came down heavily on Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for his failure in health, education, social security sectors.

The response to the former MP’s Padayatra in western Kanika has shocked the sitting Aul BJD MLA Pratap Keshari Deb, who won the Assembly seat by a huge margin in last polls.

Panda also spent the night there and continued to his meeting with local people for the second day on Wednesday. “The way people here responding the former MP , it was hard to believe , he had lost the Parliamentary seat,” an aging man of Charpada in Rajkanika said.

The senior BJP leader also posted photos of his night stay at Charapada in western Kanika in Kendrapara in his Twitter Account.

“ After y’day’s #GandhiSankalpYatra padayatra, with my host family & their relatives last night & this morning, at Charpada.Odisha’s terrible tragedy is the corruption affecting construction of housing for the poor, & refusal to implement nat’l health plan, both union govt funded,” Panda twitted.

Re-twitting Panda, one Chanchal Mishra said “You’re always been sensible and grounded, keeping aside your comfort zone you always tried to be with the ppl, as an ppl representative or without. You are true leader more, rejuvenating period is yet to come. All good wishes sir,”.
