High Schools -Colleges to open From Monday

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Secretary, Suresh Chandra Mahapatra said that educational institutes in the State remained closed for a period of more than two years due to the Covid pandemic, will resume physical classes of standard-VIII and above classes from Monday.

All educational institutions, imparting any type of education of the level of Class – VIII and above including schools, colleges, ITIs, Polytechnics, Degree Colleges and Professional Colleges and Universities, would start physical classroom teaching with effect from February 7, Mahapatra said.

All short-term courses, training, workshops, skill development training programmes etc., will also be allowed in physical mode from February 7, 2022. Similarly, classes from LKG to Class—VII will be reopened with effect from February 14,

The physical classes will be conducted with strict adherence to COVID protocols. All departments linked with education – School and Mass Education, Higher Education, Skill Development and Technical Education, and others, have been asked to issue guidelines and SOPs for reopening the institutions under their respective jurisdictions.
