CJI UU Lalit recommends Justice DY Chandrachud as his successor. Justice Chandrachud to take over as the 50th Chief Justice of India on November 9, 2022 for a period of two years.
62 year old Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud is a judge of the Supreme Court of India. He is a former Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court and a former judge of Bombay High Court. He is currently serving as the executive chairman of National Legal Services Authority.
