BHUBANESWAR: On Friday, Hemanta Kumar Terai, Seniorr. Revenue Assitant, Tahasil Office, Vyasanagar, in Jajpur has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while taking bribe of Rs. 4500/-as 2nd and final instalment of overall demand of Rs 5,000/-from a Complaint to fix up a date for the demarcation of his land.
Accused Sri Terai had earlier received Rs.500/- from the complt & was putting pressure on the complt to pay rest amount Rs.4500/-. Finding no other option, complt reported the matter to Vigilance authorities & he was nabbed today, while taking bribe Rs. 4500/-.
